My career in the leisure and hospitality industry began in central London in the late eighties, working first for the legendary WAG CLUB GROUP who operated several venues in Soho.

In 1990 I was promoted to the position of events booking manager and was appointed the licence holder of the world famous Cafe de Paris, the youngest licensee in Soho at that time.

In 1992 I was approached by the iconic ASTORIA music venue and joined their team . There  I used my experience in event production and artist liaison in their booking department, working with agents and tour promotion companies, overseeing both club night events and gigs by mainstream bands, and securing the UK's first live performance by Ru Paul of Drag Race fame .

In 1994 I joined THE BREAKFAST GROUP , a company that owned and operated multiple venues across central London. There I worked with all the venues in the group on promotions and events as well as new acquisitions and developments. This culminated in the company offering me a partnership deal on two venues in the group to develop specifically as LGBTQ orientated operations; SUB STATIONS Soho and Brixton and this partnership continued until I was bought out in 1999.

It was in 1999 that I then opened my own venue, CRASH (later renamed UNION) located in the Vauxhall club district on the South Bank. Alongside The Ministry of Sound and Turnmills, Crash was one of only three venues granted a 24 hour licence. Utilising my experience and knowledge of club and venue operations and working with architects, sound system and effect lighting companies, we created a unique ‘ New York’ style venue with industrial decor which hosted major club nights featuring cutting edge DJs, bands and performers including the very first UK gigs by the critically acclaimed SCISSOR SISTERS .

In 2004 I expanded the company into a new venue in the adjacent building that became AREA, a club with a capacity of 1,600.  Which l designed and project managed the refurbishment and programmed alongside Union , Then working with the Fire nightclub group on their in house promotions until 2008 when I sold both venues to them.

I then moved operations to the up and coming Shoreditch area where I opened EAST BLOC,  a 300 capacity basement club, with eighties style decor and a, much coveted in the area, 6am licence. After two years I added two sister venues, first BLOC BAR in Camden and then BLOC SOUTH in Vauxhall.

In 2018 I sold my interest in the London venues and moved to Hastings, opening a pub and then a late night bar, THE FOUNTAIN ON QUEENS and THE TRINITY TOWNHOUSE.

In Hastings I also worked as director of the FAT TUESDAY FESTIVAL with whom I created and produced HASTINGS ROCKS, a 5,000 capacity music festival featuring a line up of 50 live bands and DJs.

Additionally  I worked with Hastings Píer where I created and and produced JACK THE PIER, a house music festival featuring DJ Norman Jay, QUEER ON THE PIER, an annual LGBTQ event focused on a main stage featuring acts from RuPaul’s Drag Race and VIVA LE QUEENS, an all female line up live music and DJ festival .
